Start with a practice session

Practice is casual, turn up whenever suits, play as much or as little as you like. If you're nervous about being new, Sunday afternoon is the most relaxed way in. Bats and balls are at the club.

Coaching is also available most Wednesdays, 7pm to 9pm, meet the coaches.

Will I fit in?

Short answer: yes. The current roster has teenagers and retirees, blokes and women, first-season players and people who've played for forty years, often at the same table.

The sneaky-healthiest sport you can play

It looks like a game you play at your uncle's shed. The research says otherwise, scientists keep finding that whacking a little white ball is absurdly good for you.

🧠 Your brain loves it

Reading spin and reacting in milliseconds is a workout for the brain, not just the arm. A 2025 review of clinical studies found table tennis programs produced large improvements in cognitive scores for older adults, and a Fukuoka University study presented to the American Academy of Neurology found weekly table tennis improved speech, walking and tremor in people with Parkinson's.

❤️ Your heart too

A British Journal of Sports Medicine study following 80,306 adults found racquet sports players had a 47% lower risk of dying from any cause, the best result of every sport studied, ahead of swimming and aerobics. We're not saying ping pong makes you immortal. We're just saying the data's suspicious.

🦵 And your knees forgive you

No tackles, no jarring, no shoulder reconstructions. Table tennis builds balance, reflexes and footwork with about the lowest injury rate of any competitive sport, which is why it's one of the few sports people play for life. Our roster is the proof.
